Maitake Mushroom
Maitake (or the “dancing mushroom”) grows in the wild in Japan, China, and parts of North America. It’s generally found at the bottom of Oak, Maple, and Elm trees. They've been a part of traditional Asian medicine for centuries. Maitakes are high in antioxidants, Vitamin B and C, copper, potassium, fiber, and amino acids. They may play a role in immune function, help to regulate blood pressure, and could help lower cholesterol.
